Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp announced Friday that Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah will make his club comeback against Brentford on Saturday following a month-long hamstring injury.

"Mo is back in full training, so that brings him automatically into contention, of course," Klopp stated during the pre-match press conference.

The 31-year-old had been absent from Liverpool's squad since early January after joining the Egypt national team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d'Ivoire.

Unfortunately, Salah suffered a hamstring injury just before halftime in Egypt's second group-stage match against Ghana on 18 January, leaving the field limping.

Despite returning to Anfield early for an intensive rehabilitation program, Salah missed crucial games for Liverpool against Chelsea, Arsenal, and Burnley.

The Egyptian star resumed full training at the Anfield Training Centre this week and is now in contention for the upcoming Premier League clash, according to the Red's official website.

Salah has once again been in sensational form for Liverpool, scoring 24 goals and providing 15 assists throughout the calendar year.

He remains the only player in Europe's 'big five' leagues to surpass the 15-goal and 15-assist mark in 2023.

Furthermore, the Egyptian winger has become the first Premier League player since Arsenal legend Thierry Henry in 2003 to achieve 15+ goals and assists in a calendar year.

Currently leading the English Premier League table with 54 points from 24 games played this season, Liverpool holds a two-point lead over title-holders and arch-rivals Manchester City, who have played one game less.
