This appearance confirmed his recovery from a muscle injury that had kept him sidelined for several matches.

Since leaving the Africa Cup of Nations early due to a hamstring injury sustained in a game against Ghana in January, the 31-year-old Salah has only managed to play 46 minutes for Liverpool.

He made a brief substitute appearance against Brentford on 17 th February, scoring a goal at the Gtech Community Stadium, before being sidelined once again with a muscle issue.

In the match against Sparta Prague, Salah came off the bench in the 74th minute and found the net ten minutes later. However, his goal was disallowed after a VAR check for offside.

Salah's return is significant for Liverpool's manager, Jurgen Klopp, as his team prepares for a crucial clash against Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

Despite his comeback, Salah's participation in the UAE friendly tournament, scheduled to take place from March 22nd to 26th, with the Egyptian national team remains uncertain.

The Pharaohs' newly appointed coach, Hossam Hassan, has included Salah among the seven foreign-based players called up for the tournament.

However, the player's availability is still in question, and Liverpool's coach has refrained from commenting on the matter, stating that it falls outside his jurisdiction and is being handled by other departments within the club.

Egypt is set to begin preparations for the tournament on Monday, March 18th.

In the UAE tournament, the Pharaohs will face New Zealand on Friday 22 nd March, with the winner will take on the winner of the game between Croatia and Tunisia, four days later.
