Liverpool's Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah expressed his belief on Saturday that the Reds have a promising opportunity to secure victory in all competitions this season due to the team's hunger for trophies.

In an interview with Liverpool's official website, the 31-year-old winger advised his teammates to maintain focus and give their best efforts in their pursuit of silverware.

"This year, I would say it's a different squad, but the players are very hungry," Salah stated to the Liverpool FC website on Saturday."We have a good chance to win everything. We just need to give it a proper try. We have nothing to lose, so let's give it a try and see," added the Egyptian star.

Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah, a two-time African Player of the Year, has played a pivotal role in the club's success. With 334 appearances for Liverpool, he has scored 205 goals and provided 89 assists.

Salah acknowledged that selecting his most cherished memory working with Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp is challenging, given their eight-year partnership.

"It's tricky to choose one because we've been working together for eight years," Salah revealed during the interview.

"I think he just lets his players have freedom in the game and just to express themselves. Everybody can feel free and do what he wants," he added.

Throughout his time at Liverpool, Salah has received numerous individual accolades, including the FIFA Puskas Award in 2018, the Footballer of the Year Award in 2018 and 2022, and the English Premier League Top Scorer Award from 2018 to 2022.

"To work mentally is much more difficult than your physical work. I work in the gym almost every day for an hour-and-a-half. Most of the time I go home and work again, but it's so hard to keep working on mental things. Doing 15 minutes every day is so hard," Salah shared.

The Egyptian winger has made significant contributions to Liverpool's triumphs, including the UEFA Champions League in the 2018/19 season, the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup.

With 63 points, Liverpool currently tops the English Premier League table, holding a one-point lead over second-placed and defending champions, Manchester City.

After a resounding 5-1 victory against Sparta Prague in the away leg of the UEFA Europa League round of 16, Liverpool stands on the brink of securing a spot in the quarterfinals.

The Reds will face Manchester United in the FA Cup quarterfinals next week.
