Egypt star Mahmoud Abdel-Razek 'Shikabala' will leave Al-Wasl's training camp in Germany and join the Pharaohs squad for their friendlies against Benin and Cameroon on 7 and 11 September.
"Shikabala will leave the Al-Wasl training camp in Germany head to Cairo today [Tuesday] to join his national team camp," UAE newspaper Emarat Al-Youm revealed.
Shikabala, who is one of Egypt's major talents, played a full 90 minutes for Al-Wasl on Monday in their 5-0 friendly win over a German team.
"Shikabala is doing his best in the training sessions and friendly matches. He is determined to prove his worth," Al-Wasl spokesman Tarek Abdullah was quoted as saying by the newspaper.
Egypt coach Bob Bradley on Saturday called up Shikabala and nine other foreign-based players for the two friendlies.
The 26-year-old joined Emirati side Al-Wasl on a one-year loan from Zamalek in the summer after he had a dispute with the club's former coach Hassan Shehata.
Bradley omitted the star from the national team squad for the African Cup of Nations qualifiers as punishment for his conduct.
The seven-time African champions were knocked out of the first round of 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifiers after a 4-3 loss on aggregate to the Central African Republic.
