Egypt's Trezeguet suffers muscle injury with Trabzonspor in Turkey

Trabzonspor's talented Egyptian winger, Mahmoud 'Trezeguet' Hassan, sustained a hamstring injury to his knee tendons during the team's 1-0 defeat against Sivasspor on Friday, as confirmed by the club's doctor in a statement.



The 29-year-old footballer was forced to leave the pitch during halftime due to the injury.

On Saturday, he underwent medical examinations to assess the severity of the damage.

The results revealed a hamstring injury, as stated by Trabzonspor's doctor in an official statement.

"Our medical staff has initiated a recovery program for the player," the doctor added.

Trezeguet has been in exceptional form this season, delivering remarkable performances for Trabzonspor.

He has netted an impressive ten goals in 22 appearances in the Ligue 1, while also providing four assists.

His outstanding displays have made him a standout performer for the Egyptian national team.

Trezeguet showcased his skills during the recent Africa Cup of Nations, where, unfortunately, the Pharaohs were eliminated in the round of 16.
