According to reports in The Telegraph, Nottingham is in the final stages of securing a deal for the SGE standout Omar Marmoush before the impending deadline day.
At 25 years old, the attacking talent remains under contract with Eintracht until 2027.
Nottingham Forest aims to wrap up negotiations this week, just in time for their upcoming clash against Wolves at the City Ground on Saturday.
The English side have launched a bid for the Egyptian international and are actively working towards finalizing a £20 million agreement as they intensify their quest for a striker, reported The Telegraph.
Marmoush has attracted considerable interest from various clubs, including Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle, and Arsenal, following his stellar performance last season.
He netted 17 goals in 41 competitive matches and provided six assists.
After the 1-0 victory at Southampton on Saturday, Nottingham Forest head coach Espirito Santo commented on the flurry of activity in the transfer window.
“There are so many things unfolding in the transfer window - unexpected moves from all sides. All Premier League clubs are meticulously working on these final days to iron out the last details. As long as we remain focused, I will be content. Let's wait and see what transpires,'" Espirito Santo said.
