The Portuguese outfit confirmed on Saturday that they have sealed a deal with the Kouka, as a free agent, securing his services until June 2025.
The 31-year old, Kouka is no stranger to Rio Ave, having been a pivotal part of the squad from 2011 to 2015, making 98 appearances and netting 32 goals during his initial stint.
Kouka kickstarted his European journey by joining Rio Ave FC U19 from Egyptian giants Ahly in 2011, before making his mark in the senior team in 2012.
The journeyman forward departed Rio Ave during the summer transfer window of the 2015 season, heading to SC Braga in Portugal, subsequently embarking on a temporary spell with Greek side Olympiacos before making the move permanent in the 2020 season.
His football odyssey continued with a loan to Konyaspor in 2021, marking his entry into the Turkish League.
Subsequently, he donned the jersey of Alanyaspor in 2022 and later made a move to Pendikspor on a free transfer in September 2023.
Kouka found himself back at Alanyaspor in a free transfer in February 2024, ultimately becoming a free agent at the close of the previous season.
The Egyptian striker, who earned his international cap in 2013, and went on to play 32 games for the Pharaohs and scored six goals.
Throughout his career, Kouka has clinched two Greek league titles, a Greek national cup, and a Portuguese cup, underscoring his versatility and success across various leagues.
