However, despite reaching phenomenal milestones and maintaining extraordinary consistency, Salah remains driven by an unquenchable thirst for improvement.

Last week, the 32-year-old surpassed Billy Liddell to become Liverpool’s fourth-highest scorer, reaching 20 goals in a season for the eighth consecutive year.

Moreover, since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah has amassed 231 goals and 104 assists in 375 appearances, showcasing unmatched consistency.

This season, he has delivered an astonishing 20 goals and 17 assists in 26 matches.

Yet, for Salah, these extraordinary numbers are only a foundation. He remains committed to refining his craft, even seeking input from younger teammates.

“I think if the players think, ‘Okay, he reached his high potential; he will just go down,’” Salah told Liverpool’s official website. “I think I am very humble; I ask the players what they think I can improve.”

“Even if they are younger than me and maybe didn’t achieve what I have achieved, this is part of me: you tell me because sometimes other people see more than you. So, I ask them, ‘What do you think I can improve? What do you think I can do better?’

“I can [then] just think about it and think, ‘Okay, maybe I need to improve.’ But I always think I can improve in many, many things.”

Salah was ambitious and realistic when asked if he could top the 44 goals and 14 assists he recorded in his debut Liverpool season.

“Hopefully! The plan is to beat those numbers, but trophies matter more. I’d happily take fewer goals if it means lifting a big trophy,” he said.

Having already won three Premier League Golden Boots, a rare achievement for a winger, Salah acknowledged the difficulty of claiming a fourth.

“The fourth would be quite tricky because there are too many strikers who are scoring too many goals and they are also doing a great job. Winning it three times is, I think, something incredible because usually wingers in the Premier League win it once maximum. So, I have won it three times [and that is] something I don’t take for granted. I am very, very humble and very privileged,” Salah added.

Salah described his Liverpool career as “incredible” and highlighted the importance of cherishing every moment.

“I enjoy every experience because it’s unique. After football, you’ll never have these moments again. It’s not always about positive memories — it’s about how you define them,” he explained.

This season, Salah attributed his and Liverpool’s strong performances to their collective mindset and determination.

“Before the season, I told myself to work hard and enjoy my football, regardless of the changes. Now, halfway through, we’re in a great position. Hopefully, we’ll keep this momentum and win a big trophy,” Salah said.

With the season’s second half in full swing, Salah and Liverpool appear well-positioned for success.

One definite thing is that Salah’s hunger for greatness will continue to propel him to new heights.
