The Egyptian forward’s latest accolade comes after a dominant month with Liverpool, where he contributed to 10 Premier League goals – the most by any player during February. Salah’s stellar performances included a brace in Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth and crucial goals against Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Aston Villa.
In a standout moment, Salah became the first Premier League player to score and assist in both league meetings against reigning champions Manchester City in a single season, playing a decisive role in Liverpool’s 2-0 win at Anfield.
Salah's creative influence has also been unmatched, with his assist against Newcastle United bringing his total to 17 for the 2024/25 season, surpassing Liverpool’s all-time single-season assist record and moving him within three of the overall Premier League mark.
The award is his second of the season, having also claimed the honor in November, making him the first player since Erling Haaland and Marcus Rashford in 2022/23 to win multiple monthly awards in a campaign.
Salah topped a six-man shortlist after securing the highest number of votes from the public and a panel of football experts. He could yet complete a February awards double, with his second goal against Bournemouth shortlisted for the Guinness Goal of the Month award.
