The newly promoted Saudi club has reportedly opened discussions with the Egyptian international regarding his financial terms, ahead of submitting a formal offer to the French side. Nantes set price tag for Mohamed at 10 million euros, according to French media.

Mohamed, whose contract with Ligue 1 outfit Nantes runs until June 2027, has recently been linked with several Egyptian Premier League clubs, including Ahly, Pyramids FC, and his former team, Zamalek.

Currently taking part in Nantes’ pre-season preparations, Mohamed scored a brace in a 2-0 friendly win over Stade Lavallois on 12 July and added another goal in a 2-1 defeat to Guingamp on 19 July.

Since joining Nantes from Galatasaray on loan in July 2022, Mohamed has established himself as a key player, scoring 25 goals in 112 appearances across all competitions. He made his move permanent on 1 July 2023 in a deal worth 5.75 million euros.

Nantes finished 13th in Ligue 1 last season, with Mohamed contributing five goals in 30 league appearances.

On the international stage, Mohamed debuted with Egypt’s senior national team in 2019, following an impressive spell with the U-23 squad. He has since earned 47 caps and scored 13 goals for the Pharaohs on different fronts.
