Negotiations had reached advanced stage, with the 27-year-old accepted to join the newly promoted Saudi club.

However, talks broke down after Nantes reportedly demanded €10 million and a sell-on clause, while Neom offered €5 million.

Nantes refused to lower their demands, citing his importance of the player whose contract runs until June 2027.

The former Zamalek striker who made his international debut in 2019 scored 13 goals in 47 appearances with the Pharaohs.

He joined Nantes from turkish giants Galatasaray in 2022, initially on loan before making the move permanent in 2024 for €5.75 million.

Mohamed has scored 25 goals in 112 appearances for the French side, including five goals in 30 Ligue 1 matches last season.
