The 21-year-old, who began his career with Egypt’s Arab Contractors, has reportedly signed a contract running until next June and is expected to join Olympiacos’s B team.
Mazhar first moved abroad in 2020 to join Panathinaikos’s academy in Greece.
He rose to prominence in the 2022–23 UEFA Youth League, finishing as the tournament’s top scorer with nine goals.
In 2024, he had short stints with Portugal’s Estrela Amadora and Greek side Lamia, where he made 10 appearances in the Super League.
Mazhar was also part of Egypt’s U-23 squad at the Paris 2024 Olympics, playing six matches.
