Following their 2-1 defeat by Dabba AlFujairah in the United Arab Emirates League, supporters of Al-Wasl expressed disappointment in the performance of team players, including Egyptian forward Mahmoud Abdel-Razek 'Shikabala.'

UAE newspaper Al-Bayan reported that Al-Wasl fans blame Shikabala, along with teammate Brazilian striker Emiliano Alfaro, for the loss to AlFujairah.

Al-Wasl lost 2-1 to Dabba AlFujairah in the eighth matchday of the UAE professional league last Sunday, causing the team's fans at one point to attack the players' bus.

Up until this point, the 26-year-old Egyptian attacker had given a strong performance since joining Al-Wasl on season-long loan from Egyptian giants Zamalek, scoring four goals and assisting several others.
