Egypt and Hull City winger Ahmed Elmohamady is ready for Saturday's English Championship tie against Sheffield Wednesday after recovering from a calf injury.

The 25-year-old missed his team's last two matches against Blackpool and Leyton Orient after hurting his calf during Hull's 2-0 victory over Leeds United last week.

"I am ready for the Sheffield Wednesday clash after returning to training," Elmohamady revealed via Twitter on Tuesday morning.

The Egyptian international has put in a string of fine displays in the Championship since joining Hull from Sunderland on a season-long loan last summer.

Sunderland coach Martin O'Neill recently hinted he could use a clause that allows him to recall the prolific winger this month if he fails to sign a new midfielder in the current winter transfer window.

Hull City are second at the Championship table with 49 points, seven behind leaders Cardiff.
