Egyptian striker Amr Zaki with Elazigspor
Egypt striker Amr Zaki has terminated his contract with Turkish side Elazigspor after less than five months.
''We agreed at all stuff with the Turkish club and Zaki donated a sum of money to the club to leave in amicable way.'' Emad Selim, the player’s agent told his official website Tuesday.
The 29-year-old forward joined the Elazig-based club late August and he was supposed to stay for two seasons before he agreed with the club to leave amicably.
''Zaki now is free agent and he is open to all options he has, he is not rush and he will decide his future neatly.'' Selim declared.
Zaki, who was recently called back to the Pharaohs’ squad under American manager Bob Bradley, made eight appearances in the Turkish league; last one was on 24 November against Galatasaray when he was substituted due to injury.
The former ENPPI player Zaki moved to Zamalek in 2006, where he was loaned to English Premier League side Wigan Athletic in 2008-2009 and scored 11 goals in 33 matches. He also had a short spell at Hull City where he made six appearances.
