Bani Yas of the United Arab Emirates will delay a decision on extending Mohamed Abou-Treika's loan deal until after the Gulf Cup final.
"We haven’t discussed Abou-Treika's situation yet as we are concentrating on the Gulf Cup final," Bani Yas vice-president told UAE newspaper Al-Ittihad on Monday.
Emirati giants Bani Yas will face the winner between Qatari sides Al-Khor and Al-Khoraitat in a two-leg final on 17 and 23 May.
Early last month, coach Jozef Chovanec announced he would do his best to extend Abou-Treika's loan deal with the UAE club.
The 34 year old, one of Egypt's best-ever footballers, has scored four goals for Bani Yas since joining from Ahly on a six-month loan deal in January.
