The 38-year old experienced guard helped his team, El Merreikh, in their 2-1 win over Hilal Alsahel in the Sudanese league opener. It was his first official match after ending his four-month suspension.

According to Sudanese newspaper, Goansport on Monday, Hilal Alsahel has already lodged a complaint to the Sudanese Football Association (SFA) because they claim the Egyptian appearance in the game was illegal.

The 3-time African Cup of Nations champion was suspended and fined by FIFA for his illegal move from Egyptian Ahly Club to Switzerland’s FC Sion in 2008.

It was reported that Hilal Alsahel officials claim that the player can’t return to the green field before paying the fine.

El Merreikh coach, Hossam El-Badry, banned supporters from attending the training session amid their preparations for their league derby against Sudanese giants, Al-Hilal next Friday.

Egypt’s assistant coach, Hamada Sedky, has affirmed recently that El-Hadary will guard the Pharaohs net against South Africa in the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifiers on 26 March.
