Egypt and Hull City striker Mohamed "Gedo" Nagy
Egypt striker Mohamed “Gedo” Nagy played his first game of the season with Hull City on Saturday, after rejoining the Tigers last August.
Gedo came off the bench at 77 minutes to boost the team’s attacking options, as they were deadlocked by Crystal Palace. However, they were stunned by an 81st minute winner from Palace's Barry Bannan.
The 28 year-old striker, who scored Egypt’s winner against Ghana (2-1) last Tuesday, was denied a dream debut, as the shot was cleared off the goal line deep into injury time.
Gedo had a successful loan-spell at Hull City from January to June, scoring six goals in 12 matches.
He sustained a foot injury in June and was out for three months, before rejoining the Tigers on the transfer deadline day on another loan-spell.
Until now, Gedo has only played with the reserves team, but he is in a confident mood after Egypt’s goal and season debut to propel his second stay at the KC Stadium.
Coach Steven Bruce has signed him on-loan with a buy-out option in January.
