Egypt’s Ahmed Elmohamady place on the right side of Hull City’s starting line-up looks assured after coach Steve Bruce ruled out making a move for Sunderland midfielder Sebastian Larsson.
“I read it in two national newspapers I was in for Seb Larsson. That's not the case, I'm very pleased with (Ahmed) Elmohamady and (Liam) Rosenior on the right so I don't know where that's come from,” Bruce said on the Hull Daily Mail.
Elmohamady has started every Premier League since penning a permanent deal with Hull last summer, having spent the last season on loan at the Tigers from Sunderland.
He put in some fine displays, scoring once and creating several goals through his inch-perfect crosses.
