Sporting Lisbon's new signing winger Mahmoud ‘Shikabala’ Abdel-Razeq will be out of action for two weeks due to injury.

The 27-year-old, who completed his move from Zamalek to Portuguese side Lisbon by the end of January, was injured in his debut for the Portuguese team in the B side's 1-0 defeat against Tondela on Monday.

The Egyptian international played no more than 28 minutes as he was forced off following a fierce challenge by an opponent.

"Shikabala will be out for two weeks due to knock in his ankle," the player's official facebook page revealed on Wednesday.

Shikabala was not included in Tuesday's six-man list of foreign-based players to face Bosnia in a warm-up game in March, as Egypt coach Shawky Gharib wanted to allow him to settle in at his new club.
