Egypt forward Mohamed Salah was left out of Chelsea's squad for Saturday's English Premier League game against Fulham.

Cameroon's striker Samuel Eto'o was also omitted from the squad.

Salah, who joined Chelsea from Swiss side Basel on a five-and-a-half year deal on January, has so far made three off-the-bench appearances with the Blues, including one in the FA Cup in Chelsea's defeat by Manchester City.

Earlier this month, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho revealed that he is working to build a team for the future by hiring fresh players like Egyptian youngster Salah, who is 21 years old.

"Manager Mourinho told me that my chance will come in the near future," Salah said recently.

Chelsea lie at the top of the English Premier League table with 60 points, one ahead of second-placed Arsenal.
