Vita club beat Sfaxien in Champions League semis

Congolese side Vita Club claimed a narrow first-leg advantage in the African Champions League semis after defeating Club Sfaxien of Tunisia 2-1 at home on Sunday.

Striker Mubele Ndombe opened the scoring in the 37th minute of the game while midfielder Luvumbu Nzinga added the second nine minutes after the break.

Tunisia's international fullback Ali Maaloul scored the only goal for the visitors in the 69th minute.

Vita Club are bidding to win their second African title while the Tunisian will be looking for their first title in the continental competition.   

The second-leg will take place next week in Tunisia.

Algerian side ES Setif have defeated TP Mazembe2-1 in the other semi-final match on Saturday.
