Ghana were held to 1-1 draw with Guinea in the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers on Saturday but maintained their Group E lead.

The Black Stars' striker Asamoah Gyan opened the scoring in the 27th minute to give his side a first-half lead but Ibrahima Traore secured a share of spoils ten minutes from time.

The match was played in Casablanca, Morocco due to fears over the spread of the Ebola epidemic.

Ghana are on top of Group E with five points, one ahead of second-placed Uganda, while Guinea lie third with four points.

Ghana are bidding to reach the 2015 Africa Cup of nations in Morocco and win the biennial tournament to make up for a disappointing outcome at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, having finished at the bottom of their group with a solitary point gained from a remarkable 2-2 draw with eventual champions Germany.
