Algeria national team coach Christian Gourcuff has praised the performance of his team's players after the 2-0 win over Malawi in the third match-day of the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers on Saturday.

The Desert Warriors moved closer to qualifying for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-0 victory over Malawi in Blantyre.

"I appreciated the player's development in the performance throughout the three qualifier games," Algeria coach stated at the post-game press conference.

"I ask them to wait until the end of the qualifiers as winning three games respectively doesn't mean that we are African Champions," Gourcuff added.

Algeria are leading Group B with nine points after receiving a full mark in their three games in the qualifiers, defeating Ethiopia 2-1, Mali 1-0 and Malawi 2-0 on Saturday.

Malawi are set to visit Algeria on Wednesday to play the fourth match-day of the qualifiers.

"The second leg game won't be easy as the opponent will search for victory to raise their hopes of reaching the tournament finals." The Algeria tactician concluded.
