The youth midfielder snubs a Tunisian offer to represent the North African country

Rani Khedira, brother of Real Madrid's German midfielder Sami Khedira has rejected an offer to play with the U-23 Tunisian team, the Tunisian football Association (TFA) announced on Thursday.

The RB Leipzig (Bundesliga 2) midfielder who was born to a Tunisian father and a German mother has represented Germany at youth level and is waiting for a chance with the Mannschaft.

"Khedira rejected our offer to play for Tunisia," TFA spokesperson Nabil Daboussi told German network DPA on Thursday.

"The Tunisian Football Association have invited him to play with the U-23 team on request of coach Nizar Khanfir but he rejected our offer."

Sami Khedira who had also rejected a Tunisian offer, was instrumental to the Mannschaft's triumphant campaign in the World Cup 2014.
