Tunisia coach Georges Leekens said on Monday his side is determined to secure qualification for next year's Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) when they face Botswana away on Saturday in the penultimate qualifying round.

The Carthage Eagles, who lead Group G with ten points, are expected to ease to a win over minnows Botswana who lie at the bottom of the group G. They will later host Egypt on 19 November.  

Tunisia need only a draw against Botswana qualify for the continental tournament but Leekens insists they will play to win in both games.

"We have prepared as if we need six points," Leekens told African football on Monday.

"There is no question of playing for a draw. We will always be playing to win, even if it does not happen every time.

“We leave [for] Botswana to win and do not wait until the last match against Egypt, who have come from behind. In Gaborone this will be the biggest and the most difficult game.”

Leekens wants his players to treat the upcoming game as if it is a final.

"There will be no room for euphoria. A point will be enough to qualify, but we want to win," he added.
