Malian striker Frederic Kanoute is likely to make his comeback from injury when Sevilla play Real Madrid in the Spanish Primera Liga on Saturday.
The towering frontman has been out of action since tearing a right thigh muscle early last month. He is likely to face Real Madrid amid speculation surrounding his future with Sevilla.
“I'm going to meet with the directors and the president to talk about the future,” Kanoute told the club’s official website. “I don't want to be playing only five or 10 games a year, but this does not mean I'm definitely going at the end of the season. I want to end my European playing career with Sevilla and after that, at the moment, doesn't interest me."
Kanoute joined Sevilla in the summer of 2005 after ending a successful two-year spell with English side Tottenham Hotspur.
He has scored nine league goals so far this season as fifth-placed Sevilla push for a place in next season’s Europa League.
