South African star Kermit Erasmus grabbed a hat-trick for Orlando Pirates to seal a comfortable 3-0 win against Gabonese side Mounana on Saturday in the African Confederation Cup.
The Pirates needed a win after being held to a 2-2 draw two weeks earlier in the first leg. Erasmus broke the deadlock in the 25th minute, converting a cross from Sifiso Myeni.
Four minutes later, he added the second after being set up again by Myeni to jink into the area, round the keeper and slot into an empty net.
Erasmus put the result beyond doubt with a third goal in the 57th minute.
In Sousse, Etoile went through courtesy of a goal from Ammar Jemal in the 25th minute to overcomeTanzanian side Young Africans with a 2-1 aggregate win.
It was a closely-fought game as the Tunisians had to battle for over 45 minutes with only ten men on the pitch after the sending off of defender Franck Kom.
