Three late goals fired Wydad Casablanca past Tanizanian side Simba to reach the last 8 of the African most prestigious clubs competition in Cairo on Saturday.

Fabrice Ondama opened the scoring in the 88^thminute, Ayoub Al-Khaliqi doubled the lead in the 94^thminute then Mohcine Yajour completed the rout two minutes later.

Wydad and Simba had to play a one-off decider to see which club replaces disqualified TP Mazembe in the group stage of the CAF Champions League

Wydad has been placed in Group A alongside Ahly, MC Alger and Esperance.
