Senegalese international El Hadji Diouf has been tipped by his coach Kean on his first team opportunities if he decided to stay with Blackburn next season.
"He's going to find himself a bit further down the pecking order as far as starting goes. I don't know if that will suit him,” the Scottish manager said.
The 30-year-old striker was loaned last winter to Scottish champions Glasgow Rangers, helping them to the title, and hinted that he wouldn’t mind signing a permanent deal.
The former Sunderland player is due to return to Ewood Park this summer, where he still has a year left in his contract.
