Algeria midfielder Adlene Guedioura has been ruled out of his side’s crucial African Cup of Nations qualifier away in Morocco due to an injury.

Local radio said on Friday the Wolverhampton Wanderers player hurt his ankle when he collided with a teammate during training.

However, Algeria coach Abdelhak Benchikha got a boost with the news that influential forward Rafik Djebbour resumed full training after recovering from a groin injury.

Apart from Guedioura, Benchikha will have a fully-fit squad to choose from for the anticipated clash in Moroccan city, Marrakesh.

Algeria will be looking to secure another win over North African rivals Morocco, having beaten them 1-0 in Annaba in March.

All four teams in Group D, including Central Africa and Tanzania, are tied on four points amid an exciting competition for a place in next year’s Nations Cup finals in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
