Manchester United have made a bid to sign Southampton's Senegalese midfielder Sadio Mane, British media reported on Wednesday.
The Red Devils are in the hunt to sign the 23-year-old after failing in their bid to lure Barcelona's Spanish winger Pedro, who seems on his way to English Premier League champions Chelsea, Sky Sports and BBC said.
Mane, who mainly plays as a winger for Southampton, scored 10 Premier League goals last season including a hat-trick in a league record time of two minutes and 56 seconds against Aston Villa.
He also played for French side Metz and Austria's Red Bull Salzburg before moving to Southampton.
Mane has scored six goals in 25 appearances with Senegals' national team since making his debut in 2012.
