Algeria's coach Christian Gourcuff has dropped midfielders Nabil Bentaleb and Sofiane Feghouli from the squad that will face Lesotho away on Sunday in an African Cup of Nations qualifier due to their injuries.

Tottenham midfielder Bentaleb sustained a knee injury during his side's goalless draw with Everton in an English Premier League match on Sunday while Valencia midfielder Feghouli is suffering from a muscle injury.

The Frenchman has called up Mouloudia Alger striker Khaled Gourmi and USMA midfielder Hocine El-Orfi to cover for the absence of the foreign-based duo.

Algeria are preparing their upcoming clash with a training camp in South Africa.

They are on the top of Group J with three points after defeating Seychelles 4-0 in the group opener last June.
