Mame Biram Diouf scored late to give Stoke a 2-1 home victory over Bournemouth on Saturday for its first Premier League win of the season.
Diouf came off the bench to head in a cross in the 84th minute for his third goal of the season, lifting Stoke out of the relegation zone following a disappointing start to the campaign for Mark Hughes' team.
Jonathan Walters put Stoke ahead with a tap-in from close range in the 33rd minute but Dan Gosling leveled in the 76th with a low shot after the ball fell to him in the area.
Stoke has six points from seven games, one point behind newcomer Bournemouth.
