Algeria’s Olympic team have booked their place in the group stage of the 2012 London Games qualifiers with a 3-2 aggregate victory over Zambia.
The North Africans held a comfortable 3-0 advantage from the first leg but Zambia threatened to stage a remarkable comeback after scoring two goals either side of the interval.
Striker Felix Nyaende opened the scoring after 11 minutes and defender Derrick Mwansa added the second with ten minutes remaining.
Algeria survived the late nervous moments to reach the group stage.
