Italian side Roma have expressed their interest in signing Cameroon’s goalkeeper Carlos Kameni, according to an Italian report published on Wednesday.
Football Italia magazine said Roma turned their attention to Kameni, who plays for Spanish La Liga club Espanyol, after failing to sign Dutch goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg, who was their prime target in the close of season.
The Giallorossi are searching for a goalkeeper as Julio Sergio and Alexander Doni might leave the club this summer.
Kameni, 27, has been Espanyol’s regular line guard since joining in 2004. Recent reports also linked him with a move to English side Fulham.
