The chief operations officer of South African side SuperSport United Jose Ferreira has revealed that his international defender Morgan Gould is on the brink of a move to English Championship side Crystal Palace.

“I can confirm that Crystal Palace would like to have a look at Morgan Gould on trial,” Ferreira was quoted as saying on

“At this stage we have only just received the invitation so all the logistics still need to be decided. That will all be decided over the next few days as we wait for him to get a permit to travel to the UK,” he added.

The 28-year-old versatile defender has delivered a strong performance with South Africa, putting them in pole position to claim a place in the African Cup of Nations 2012 for the first time in six years.

Gould is on the lists of many other sides but he is very interested in the English adventure.

“There has been other interest in him from one or two in clubs in Russia but Morgan has said previously that he would prefer to play in England,” Ferreira concluded.
