Under the helm of Egyptian coach Hossam El-Badry, El-Merreikh will arrive Cairo on 14 August to kick off their preparatory camp for the remaining games of the Sudanese domestic league.

The 50-year-old tactician Hossam El-Badry denied the Sudanese giants’ request to take part in a friendly tournament in Saudi Arabia, asking them to concentrate during this free period to make use of the players’ fitness and address mistakes made during the first round of the league.

“The remaining clashes in the Sudanese league will be tough for El-Merreikh players, and we will do our best to maintain our position on top of the league table,” El-Badry said.

El-Merreikh are in the driving seat of the Sudanese league table with 42 points, five ahead of arch-rivals and runners-up Al-Hilal.
