CAF denied on Wednesday reports saying the African Super Cup between Tunisia's Etoile du Sahel and TP Mazembe of DR Congo would take place on 14 February, saying it would be played on the weekend of 19-21 in the same month.

"CAF wishes to confirm that the timing remains unchanged regarding the annual one-off match," the African governing body said in a statement.

"The CAF Super Cup has been scheduled to take place on the weekend of 19 to 21 February 2016 at the home grounds of the 2015 Orange CAF Champions League winner, in this case TP Mazembe."

Mazembe won their fifth Champions League title by beating USM Alger 4-1 on aggregate while Etoile were crowned Confederation Cup champions after overcoming South Africa's Orlando Pirates with a 2-1 aggregate victory.

Etoile won the Super Cup twice in 1998 and 2008, the same as Mazembe who won the title in 2010 and 2011.
