Ghana to announce a new date for first round last matches

The Ghana Premier League board (PLB) will set a new date for the first round final matches when the suspension on the league is lifted

“We will announce a new date when we return to office and the suspension on the league is lifted” PLB Chairman Welbeck Abra-Appiah was quoted as saying on the Ghana Football Association website.

"All issues are cleared for the opening of the office and the Executive Committee lifts the suspension, we can then go ahead and have the matches played” Abra-Appiah added.

All 16 sides in the Glo Premier League were to wrap up the first round fixtures on Sunday, 12 December 2010, but would now wait for a new date after all football related activities in the country were suspended following Tuesday's raid by the Economic and Organised Crime Office at the headquarters of the Ghana Football Association.

The Executive Committee of the FA endorsed the eesolution of the Ghana League Clubs Association to suspend all football related activities in Ghana until the Economic and Organised Crime Office completes its investigations into activities of the GFA.
