“I am happy at Mazembe, and I am not leaving my club for Ahly or El Merreikh. It was just talks but nothing official yet and we didn’t reach any agreements ,” the 24-year old player told journalists following his side’s 1-0 win over Pachuca of Mexico on Friday night.
Recent reports in Egypt and Sudan has linked the player with a move out of TP Mazembe after leading them to a second straight CAF Champions’ league title last November.
Ahly’s marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi has previously announced that Singuluma is close from his team and that the deal would be finalized within days.
Meanwhile TP Mazembe will take on Internacional from Brazil in the semifinals of the FIFA club world cup on Tuesday hoping for a historical achievement as no African teams have ever reached the final of the competition.
“The game will be difficult for both sides. Surely playing against an experienced and talented side like Internacional is harder than Pachuca, but we are here to win which is not impossible,” he concluded.
TP Mazembe wants to wipe out last year’s disappointment after losing their two games in the 2009 contest.
