Ghana failed to maintain their winning run in the Nation Cup qualifiers after being held to a goalless draw away to the group's bottom side Mozambique on Sunday.

The Black stars, who claimed a 3-1 home victory over Mozambique on Thursday, remain top of Group G with 10 points, four ahead of second-placed Rwanda who will host Mauritius on Tuesday.

In Group E, 2012 African Champions Zambia drew with Congo 1-1, opening the door for Guinea to top the group after the latter a 1-0 away win over Kenya.

Striker Jonas Mendes scored a late goal with nine minutes remaining, helping his side claim a precious win.

Guinea are now on the top of the group with seven points, just one ahead of Congo and Zambia who are joint second with six points.

Earlier in the day, Botswana kept their hopes in the African qualifiers alive after securing a narrow 2-1 home win over Comoros.

Botswana are third of Group D with six points, on level with leaders Uganda and Burkina Faso who will face off on Tuesday in Kampala.
