Liberia, DR Congo win in Nations Cup qualifiers, Tunisia and Cameroon held

Liberia and DR Congo remained on top of their respective groups in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers after defeating Djibouti and Angola respectively on Tuesday.

A hat-trick from striker William Jebor helped Liberia thrash Djibouti 5-0 at home to cement their place on top of Group A with nine points, two ahead of second-placed Tunisia who were held to a goalless draw by hosts Togo.

In Group B, DR Congo claimed an away 2-0 win over Angola to top the group with nine points, two clear of Central African Republic who claimed a narrow 2-1 win over Madagascar on Monday.

Group D joint leaders Burkina Faso and Uganda have seven points each follwoing their goalless draw in Kampala on Tuesday. 

Cameroon secured a goalless draw away to South Africa to keep their position on top of Group M with eight points, just one ahead of Mauritania.
