Moussa Sow scored both goals for Senegal, giving his team the lead after a counter attack in the 35th minute and adding the second with a header in the 52nd.

It was the first game for new Congo coach Claude le Roy, who replaced French compatriot Robert Nouzaret this week.

Le Roy said “we did not have many positive solutions,” but promised to have developed “a more solid team” ahead of its final qualifier against Cameroon.
