Ahly’s newly-signed Mohamed Naguib confirmed that Esperance match on Friday in the CAF Champions League will be hard, but the players are determined to win and qualify for the next round.

“We have no options but to win with two goals difference - and we are ready,” the 27-year old Naguib insisted in a quote on the club’s official website.

The Cairo giants lie third in Group B with six points, one behind Wydad and three adrift of Tunisia’s Esperance with one match remaining in the group stage.

“Our back line players are aware of the opponents’ attackers’ skills and we will stop them keeping our net clean,” newbie added.

In their away match, Ahly were defeated 1-0 by Esperance striker Joseph N'Djeng.

The Red Devils left winger Sayed Moawad hasn’t attended Wednesday’s training due to bruising on his foot from an injury sustained during the Wydad match last Sunday, but he will be back Thursday.
