Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund have denied all reports suggesting that the team's Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to leave the club this summer, labelling them "nonsense".

Speculation intensified over Aubameyang's future with Dortmund after Gabonese reports said on Saturday that Gabon coach Jorge Costa had been asked not to select the 26-year-old for their anticipated game against Mauritania in the African Nations Cup qualifiers "because he is in the process of changing clubs".

But Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke told Sport Bild: "That's all nonsense."

Aubameyang produced a string of fine displays last season, scoring 39 goals with Dortmund as they finished runners up to champions Bayern Munich.

The 2015 African player of the year has been linked with a £70 million move to Manchester United.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City and Arsenal also reported to be keen on luring Aubameyang, whose  contract with Dortmund expires in 2020.
