Ghana's skipper Andre Ayew refused all local media reports that tagged the Black Stars upcoming clash against Egypt in the World Cup qualifiers as a must-win game, insisting it will not be the group decider.

Egypt will host Ghana in their second Group E game at Borg El-Arab stadium in Alexandria, where a victory will put them five points clear of the Black Stars, their main challengers in the group that also includes Congo and Uganda.

''Well, must is a big word," Ayew was quoted as saying by Ghanasoccernet on Thursday.

"Whether we like it or not, after this we will be left with four matches.

"This game is a very important one but it's not the decider."

Egypt launched their Group E campaign with a 2-1 away win over Congo to top the group with three points, two ahead of second-placed Ghana who were held to a disappointing goalless draw at home to Uganda.

The Group winner will represent Africa in the 2018 World Cup.
