Adel Taarabt revealed his delight on Thursday over news that Italian side Napoli had expressed a desire to sign him next January.

"I’m flattered that my name is being linked with an enormous club like Napoli, who the best player of all time (Diego Maradona) once played for," Taarabt told sports website skysports.com.

The 22-year-old playmaker, who has two years remaining on his contract with Queens Park, said he was enjoying his time with the Premier League’s newly promoted team, stressing that he had no intention to quit the club.

"QPR know there is interest, so it’s up to them. But I’m happy to win games for them and the future will tell. For the moment, though, I’m happy here," he said.

Taarabt has delivered a string of strong performances for Queens Park, which are currently 10th on the Premier League table.
