Morocco Olympic team coach Pim Verbeek revealed Monday that he will do his best with the players to avoid mistakes in the semifinal match against Egypt at the U-23 African Championship, after Morocco fumbled to a 1-0 loss to Senegal.

“We deserved to lose that game against Senegal because the players lost their concentration at the end of the second halftime,” Verbeek said.

“Winning the first two games against Nigeria and Algeria made Morocco players not concentrate in the Senegal match” he added.

Egypt edged closer to end their long wait for an Olympic appearance after beating South Africa 2-0 on Saturday to face Morocco in the U-23 African Championship semi final.

“I watched the Egypt and South Africa game, so I will make use of the Egypt squad's weak points,” the Morocco tactician concluded.
