After returning to training sessions on Tuesday, Tottenham injured striker Emmanuel Adebayor has announced that he will be available for Sunday’s match against former club Arsenal as his rehabilitation program is progressing well.

The 27-year-old hitman was doubtful for the anticipated game with the Gunners after picking a knee injury in the club’s trainings, but it seems he will be ready for the trip to the Emirates stadium.

"Just finished training, really happy with the progress, knee is looking much better. Working on my fitness for Sunday,” the former Monaco player, who scored last week against Newcastle to end his 713 minute Premier League goal drought, wrote on Twitter.

The Togolese striker arrived at Tottenham last summer on a season-long loan from Manchester City.
